SAP Datasphere - Data Modelling Introduction

Data Modeling in SAP Datasphere is quite interesting as it offers modelling capabilities based on the different user groups. Kudos Business users! Now you don't need your IT guy for everything :)

Here Modeling is split into two layers - Business Layer and Data Layer.

For the Business Analysts who has good understanding on the business, the Business Builder becomes the go-to place with no-code low-code interface. For the tech-savvy developers or Power users, we got Data Builder. Everyone are finally happy :)

Data Builder is a place where we have all the basic modeling tools for creating views and tables to prepare data for our stories, and use entity-relationship models to visualize and make associations between artifacts.

Business Builder allows users to create their own business models based on the business terms, meaning we can create business entities and fact models that would be acting as the foundation for consumption models which will be further used for reporting and protect them by creating authorization scenarios. Data Builder objects can be consumed by the Business Builder for further modeling and consumption.

Cool right! Each one got one! Equal Equal!

Now lets see each and everything in detail in the further sections.
